Col. Chuck ScottOne of 444 Americans held hostage in Iran from November 1979 to January 1981

Col.  Charles W. Scott, held hostage by Iranian terrorists for 444 maddening days, speaks on the lessons he learned from enduring such a nightmare.

He holds audiences spellbound relating his experiences from Iran’s worst prisons with the torture and mock firing squads to the pomp and celebration of Hostage Freedom Day.  His incisive observations of America and her people have been termed “life changing experiences” by his audiences.

Col.  Scott has been called the best qualified Middle East specialist in the Army by the Pentagon.  He has served as a Middle East consultant for a number of corporations and makes frequent trips to the region for meeting with top government and military leaders.

After enlisting in the Army in 1949, he rose through the ranks from recruit to master sergeant and through the commissioned officer grades from second lieutenant to full colonel before his retirement in 1981 with more than 31 years of active service.  He is a highly decorated combat veteran earning the Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star for Valor, the Bronze Star for Heroism and 17 other medals and citations.

He is the author of Pieces of the Game which received the National Library Award.  Col.  Scott is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University, the Infantry and Airborne Schools, Defense Language Institute, Defense Intelligence School, Command and General Staff College, Special Warfare School and Operations Research and Systems Analysis School.  He holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics from Benedictine College.

The Renaissance of Patriotism in America   This is an inspirational and motivational masterpiece.  As exciting as a Super Bowl and as timely as the morning news, Col. Scott holds audiences mesmerized throughout this uplifting journey.  His incisive observations on America and Americans is a profound message we all need to hear, understand and believe.

Strength Through Adversity and Stress   While being kept captive, Col. Scott learned to operate under high levels of pressure and stress.  These are tools that can be learned by others to adopt into our everyday lives.

The Terrorist Threat and the Middle East   Who are terrorists?  What drives them to commit seemingly inhumane acts like those perpetuated on 9/11?  What can be done to understand them better.
